Traffic Signal Pole Replacement

The City of Owen Sound will be replacing a traffic signal located on the northwest quadrant of the intersection of 10th Street East and 2nd Avenue East. The existing pole has deteriorated over time and requires replacement to maintain safety and reliability. 

The work is scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026. During construction, the westbound right lane will be closed between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The westbound primary signal head will be temporarily out of service; however, the secondary signal head will remain operational at all times. 

Residents are asked to approach the intersection with caution and to expect minor delays.

• The traffic signal pole supports traffic signal heads, streetlights, and pedestrian signal infrastructure. 

• All attached infrastructure will be temporarily impacted during the replacement work.
