To vote via telephone, dial the phone number on your Voter Information Letter from any touchtone or mobile phone (rotary phones cannot be used).
When voting by phone, take your time and listen to the prompts carefully. To see a full script of what the telephone system will go through, click here.
Once you call the number, you will be prompted to enter your birth year, month, and day, followed by the pin on your Voter Information Letter.
The first question the system will ask is if you wish to proceed to vote or to decline your ballot. Please note, if you choose to decline your ballot, you will not be given the opportunity to vote for any of the races.
Next, it will run through each race and the candidates, with a number that corresponds with each candidate. You will be asked to type the corresponding numbers for the candidates you wish to vote for.
Helpful tips:
- Decide who you would like to vote for before calling the number, so you are prepared once the process begins.
- Mayoral candidates are listed as numbers 1 through 6
- Council candidates are listed as numbers 01 through 21
Once you have successfully casted your votes, the line will automatically disconnect.
