The Homecoming exhibition explores the role that Owen Sound played in Thomson’s artistic growth and his emergence as a national icon. Special events are scheduled for Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15.

The City of Owen Sound continues to look for support to attract and retain Family Physicians to the area while also leveraging relationships with neighbouring municipalities.

Earlier this month, the City of Owen Sound held a tree planting event at the Kiwanis Soccer Complex to begin to replace a wooded area that was dominated by ash trees.  The trees were removed because they were infected with the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). 

The Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services will begin their annual Home Visitation and Assistance Program on Wednesday, May 15. 

The first of three ‘Goods Exchange Days’ for 2024 will be taking place on Saturday, May 18, 2024. 

Another Household Hazardous Waste Day event is taking place this Saturday, May 11! The event will be held at the Public Works Facility (1900 20th Street East) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
