Accessibility |
The Tom Thomson Art Gallery is temporarily inaccessible pending a major accessibility renovation project occurring in winter/spring 2023.
We advise those with visual impairments that some gallery exhibition spaces are dimly lit in order to protect light sensitive artworks.

Gallery Etiquette |
Protecting the Art
Please do not touch the artwork. Keep a safe distance of 1m between you and the works of art. Please do not run in the Gallery.
Bags
Visitors may carry one bag plus a personal item, such as a purse or diaper bag. The combined size of these bags cannot exceed 45X40X15cm. Bags cannot be carried on your back. Large bags are not permitted in the Gallery. Lockers are available for visitors, see Front Desk staff for access to lockers.
Food and Drink
Food and drink are not permitted in Gallery exhibition spaces.
Video Surveillance
For the protection of visitors, volunteers, staff, and artworks the Gallery is monitored by video surveillance.

The Gallery encourages you to take photos and memorialize your visit. We ask that these photos be used for personal use only.

Limitation of Liability |
Any indoor public space where people come together like the Tom Thomson Art Gallery (The TOM), produces risk of exposure to COVID-19. By being in a public space like The TOM you voluntarily assume all the risks related to infection exposure. During your visit to The TOM, please help to keep each other healthy by wearing a face mask*, as well as maintaining social distancing of two meters/six feet in any direction and following all health and safety guidelines. *Those exempt from wearing face coverings can include children under the age of 12, people with a medical condition that inhibits their ability to wear a mask, people who cannot apply or remove a mask without help, and those with accommodations under the Ontario Human Rights Code or the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. |
