Green Bin Delivery Has Started

Owen Sound's Green Bin program collection begins in June of 2025, and green bins have started to arrive at eligible households.

Bins are being delivered by a third party contractor to the bottom of your driveway.

You do not need to be present to get your bin. If you are away for an extended time, have a friend or neighbour set it aside for you.

Parking

The City of Owen Sound has over 800 parking spaces.

Courtesy of local downtown merchants and the City of Owen Sound, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, the following applies:

  • 2 hours of free on-street parking in the downtown core
  • 5 hours of free parking in all municipal lots

Monthly, Annual and Overnight (seasonal) passes are available from City Hall or the Transit Terminal.
