Recreation and Programs

We have a fantastic community. Stay healthy and keep active in Owen Sound!

The City Owen Sound has many parks and facilities where people of all ages can be active. We offer affordable activities and recreation programs through our Community Services Department together with our recreation partners.

You can skateboard or bike at the Kiwanis Sk8 & Bike Park, hike our beautiful trails, cool off at the Kelso Beach splash pad, or go swimming at our local pools or beaches.

We offer year round public skating or you can rent ice time at one of our arenas. During the winter months, visit our Good Cheer outdoor rink at Harrison Park. Updates can be found on the Owen Sound Tourism, Events and Attractions Facebook page.

You can join in minor sports programs offered through local organizations during the summer and fall/winter.

The YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce offers financial assistance programs to supports members of our community.
