The Bayshore is large enough to hold any event and is home to the Ontario Hockey League's Owen Sound Attack.

Public Skating

Owen Sound offers different public skating opportunities, including FREE public skates each Sunday through the winter, and an outdoor rink at Harrison Park

Ice Rentals

We have recreation ice time available on three NHL sized arenas.

This message is for all ice user groups at both arenas (Bayshore and JMRRC). Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Key Reminders:

Unattended children at JMRRC: Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult in the corridors at JMRRC, in alignment with YMCA policy.
Ice access: Groups may only enter the ice at their scheduled rental time. Early access can cause significant damage to the ice.
Nets: Staff will place nets 10–15 minutes prior to your rental; groups should not set up their own.
Equipment storage: Pylons, pucks, and black rink dividers must be returned to their proper location. Staff may remove items from rink perimeters if left improperly (or block walkways and emergency exits).
No markings on ice: Bingo dabbers or any other medium may not be used on the ice surface to protect ice quality.
