The City of Owen Sound invites residents, visitors, River District Members and stakeholders to share their input to identify opportunities for streetscape infrastructure renewal as part of the River District Streetscape Renewal Plan.

The Tom Thomson Art Gallery invites the community to celebrate art, creativity, and community. Palette to Palate: Let’s Go Wild! is an evening of art, food, wine, music and creativity inspired by Tom Thomson’s enduring love of the Canadian wilderness.

The Tom Thomson Art Gallery is pleased to celebrate two new exhibitions, A History of Reverence featuring works from the collection, and D’Andrea Bowie’s cut a path through the weeds and call it a garden. A public reception will take place on Saturday, October 17, from 2:00–4:00 pm. Ahead of the reception, visitors are invited to join Bowie for an exhibition walkthrough from 1:00–2:00 pm, offering an opportunity to hear directly from the artist about the ideas, materials, and processes behind her work.

Residents have reported receiving Voter Information Letters (VILs) addressed to individuals who no longer reside at their property. This is common across Ontario, as voter registration records are not always updated when someone moves.

The City of Owen Sound and the River District Board of Management are inviting residents, visitors, and River District stakeholders to share their feedback to help shape the future of the area through input on the River District Action Plan.

The City is reminding our community of facility closures, modified hours, and updated programming over the 2026 Thanksgiving weekend.  

Hockey Fest returns to the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre beginning Thursday, November 19 to Saturday, November 21, 2026, bringing three days of hockey, skill development, mental wellness programming and community activities to Owen Sound. 

The City of Owen Sound is reminding eligible voters to watch their mailbox beginning Monday, October 5, for their Voter Information Letter (VIL) for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. 

Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services is joining fire departments across Ontario in promoting the Test Your Smoke Alarm- Saved by the Beep Campaign.  

Thanks to a donation from the Tyson Downs Association (TDBeAT), with support from the Owen Sound Attack, the City of Owen Sound is proud to announce the installation of new public-access Automated External Defibrillator (AED SaveStation) at two additional locations in the City of Owen Sound: City Hall and Kelso Beach at Nawash Park.
