Mark Your Calendars - Owen Sound New Year’s Eve Family Celebration is Back!

The City of Owen Sound will once again host the New Year’s Eve Family Celebration in partnership with the YMCA Bruce Grey Owen Sound at the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre on Wednesday, December 31, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated at the door. 

Public skating will take place from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on both ice pads, and an open swim at the YMCA will run from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library will be on-site with button making. There will also be crafts, New Years themed Instabooth, Stilt Walking, balloon creations and face painting.

Shankar Law, Pizzaville and Coca-Cola are proudly sponsoring this event.

Pizzaville will be serving up pizza throughout the afternoon with donations to Oshare for those wishing to do so.

Quick Facts:

• The Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre is located at 700 10th Street East, Owen Sound.
  
• The YMCA pool does have bather capacity limits. Individuals wishing to swim may be required to wait several minutes until a space becomes available in the pool. The regular aquatics policies remain in effect. 
  
• The Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre and YMCA Owen Sound is a Nut-Aware Facility.
