Plan to Attend the Home and Cottage Expo This Weekend at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre 

The 2025 Home and Cottage Expo will be held at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre and JD McArthur Arena this weekend, Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The event will showcase 140 indoor exhibitors, including popular businesses across Ontario, interactive displays, local municipal building officials, a dedicated green energy section, 30 outdoor exhibitors, including outdoor furniture, sheds, equipment, vehicles, small home-based businesses, and a kids’ zone that includes pony rides, games, balloons and more! 

Eventgoers can meet contractors, interior designers, landscapers, home improvement specialists, interior designers, landscapers, outdoor recreation dealers, consumer electronics suppliers, and much more - all in one convenient location. It’s the perfect place to pair residents and visitors with services for their upcoming renovation, plus a chance to speak with professional planners.

Upon entry, each attendee will receive a bag, a map of the Expo, and a Passport. Visit participating passport businesses to collect stamps and enter to win one of many prizes donated by participating companies. Please note that all entrance access will be through the front (south-facing) doors only.  Access will not be permitted into the building through the back (north) doors.

Don’t forget to enter to win a $1,000 gift certificate from Rintoul’s Pools and Hot Tubs in the grand prize draw!

This year’s Expo “Ask the Expert Panel,” hosted by Sarah Carmichael from Mix106, will feature top industry professionals providing valuable insights on home renovation, managing finances home ownership, Aging in Place, raising chickens, water conservation, future proofing your home and the latest trends in sustainable and smart home solutions and participate in a live Q&A session. Leading this year's panel is Sue Pitchforth of Decor Therapy Plus. Sue is an International Award-Winning Designer, media personality, and speaker. Sue’s approach to design is refreshing, unique, and inexpensive, yet it yields luxurious results. Believing that home is an expression of your life & personality, Sue is known for making design easy, fun, and affordable. Forget everything that overwhelmed or intimidated you about design; it’s a whole new world when you work with Sue.

The entry fee to the Expo is $5 for adults; children 12 and under are free. The proceeds support the projects of the Knights of Columbus.
