Discover Your City: Owen Sound Hosts Community Open House 

The City of Owen Sound is set to host an in-person Community Open House on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bayshore Community Centre. This free, family-friendly event offers residents a unique opportunity to connect directly with City Council and staff, learn more about essential City services, and engage with community organizations that play a vital role in daily life.

At this in-person event, attendees can:

• Learn about City services, programs, and resources
• Chat directly with City staff and have questions answered
• Explore current and upcoming City projects
• Connect with other community organizations offering essential services in the area

The Sound Room at the Bayshore Community Centre will feature displays from a wide range of City divisions and community groups, including Grey County Housing, YMCA Employment Services, Brightshores Health System, Grey Bruce Public Health, CMHA Grey Bruce, Safe N Sound, and many more.

A dedicated kids’ space will be available with fun activities. Please note that parents/guardians remain responsible for supervising their children at all times. Light refreshments will also be provided for all attendees.

The Bayshore Community Centre is fully accessible and offers ample free parking on both the north and south ends of the building.

For those using Owen Sound Transit, the East Bayshore Route stops at the Community Centre. Regular service runs until 6 p.m. A limited number of transportation vouchers will be available to community members who require assistance to attend, on a first-come, first-served basis, by emailing communications@owensound.ca.
