Kelso Beach at Nawash Park in Owen Sound posted unsafe for swimming (on behalf of Grey Bruce Public Health)
Grey Bruce Public Health, in consultation with the City of Owen Sound, has posted the beach at Kelso Beach at Nawash Park in Owen Sound as unsafe for swimming after water-sampling results – received Wednesday, August 6 – showed bacterial levels exceeding Ontario Ministry of Health standards.
In response to the upcoming warm temperatures, the City of Owen Sound reminds residents that public places are available throughout the City to keep cool and offers some high temperature tips and reminders.
The By-law Enforcement Portal enables residents to conveniently and easily report by-law concerns and make online payments.
Due to last night’s severe storm, City staff continue to prioritize and clean up damages from high winds and heavy rains across Owen Sound.
On Saturday, June 15, 2024, the River District will welcome the 2024 Pride Parade, Street Fair, and Vendor Market. Motorists through the River District may experience delays to allow the safe passage of the parade. Businesses will remain accessible throughout the closures. Parking is available in nearby municipal lots and on-street where permitted.
