Phase 2: 9th Avenue East Reconstruction Begins

The City of Owen Sound is notifying residents and commuters that road construction on 9th Avenue East from 6th Street East to Superior Street will be starting on Monday, April 13, 2026.

 

Commuters will encounter road construction activities in this area and lane reductions. Superior Street will be closed at 9th Avenue East for the duration of the project.

The City asks residents and commuters to drive with caution and give yourself extra time when moving through this area as lane closures will be in place.

 

There are no anticipated impacts on transit routes or bus stops.

This reconstruction is anticipated to be completed by Fall 2026.
