Owen Sound Seeking Heritage Sites for Annual Doors Open Event

The City of Owen Sound is inviting local heritage sites, museums, historic buildings, cultural spaces, places of worship, and community landmarks to take part in this year’s Doors Open event taking place on Saturday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Doors Open provides residents and visitors with a unique opportunity to explore some of the community’s most fascinating spaces, many of which are not regularly open to the public. The event celebrates local heritage, architecture, culture, and stories while encouraging tourism, community pride, and public engagement.

Organizers are now calling on local heritage locations and organizations to sign up by June 10th, and become part of this exciting day.

Participating sites can:

  • Showcase local history, architecture, and culture
  • Welcome hundreds of residents and visitors
  • Increase community awareness and engagement
  • Promote programs, exhibits, and future events
  • Be featured in event marketing and promotional materials

Whether your site is historic, cultural, artistic, architectural, or uniquely connected to the community’s story, organizers encourage you to sign up.
