Notice of Intention to Amend the City’s By-law to Regulate the Use of Election Campaign Signs

Please be advised that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Owen Sound intends to amend its Election Sign By-law. The details of the amendment are outlined in staff report CR-26-034, as approved by City Council on April 13, 2026.

The meeting at which the by-law will be presented will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at City Hall, Council Chambers, 808 2nd Avenue East, Owen Sound, ON N4K 2H4. The by-law will come into effect immediately upon passing. The Council meeting can be viewed live on Rogers Cable TV or the Rogers TV webpage or viewed during and after the meeting on the Council and Committees webpage.

Notice is being provided in accordance with Notice By-law No. 2018-022. If the matter is postponed or considered at a subsequent Council meeting, no additional notice will be provided other than the information on the subsequent Council agenda.
