Kelso Beach Camping Reservations Opening May 1 for 2026 Special Events

As families make summer plans and look forward to the 2026 Summerfolk and Salmon Derby events, nearby campsites at Kelso Beach Family Campground can start being reserved online beginning Friday, May 1 (9 a.m.) at OwenSound.ca/Campgrounds. 

The Kelso Beach Campground, located at 200 18th Street West, Owen Sound, will be open limited dates in 2026. The campground offers un-serviced campsites on a first-come, first-served basis during the following dates only: 

• Summerfolk Music and Craft Festival – campsite access begins Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 4 p.m. and runs until Monday, August 24, 2026, at 11 a.m. 

• Salmon Spectacular Fishing Derby – starting on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 4 p.m. until Monday, September 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. 

The Kelso Beach Campground offers the following campground amenities: 

• Approximately 65 un-serviced campground sites under the shade of mature pine trees.  

• Campground is suitable for tents, small trailers or RVs and cannot accommodate oversized trailers/RVs.

• One centrally located comfort station with shower facilities.  

• One central fire pit with communal picnic table area. 

• Communal water service.    

Reservations are booked online on a first-come basis. For more information and to book a campsite at Kelso Campground, please visit the Owen Sound Tourism website and select the Kelso Beach Family Campground tab. Harrison Park Campground bookings can be made online as well, with the campground opening sites on May 14, 2026.

Quick Facts: 

• All Kelso Campground campers must check in and register at the Harrison Park Campground Office Booth in Harrison Park at 75 2nd Avenue East prior to setting up at the Kelso Beach Campground.   

• Harrison Park Campground also offers campsites available for bookings and operate from Thursday, May 14th until Monday, October 12th, 2026.
