Just Say Yes Valentine’s Day Weddings 2026

The Owen Sound River District, in partnership with the City of Owen Sound and Shannon Deckers Real Estate, is pleased to announce that bookings are officially open for the fourth annual Just Say Yes Valentine’s Day Wedding Event at City Hall.

The Just Say Yes Event is for couples who want a no-fuss wedding, an alternative to eloping, a simple wedding with style and flair, a legal wedding before or after a destination wedding, or who simply want their anniversary to be on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Weddings booked as part of the Just Say Yes event will include: 

A selection of vows 
Up to 20 guests 
Officiant 
Décor 
A selection of bouquets & boutonnières to borrow for the ceremony 
Ten high-resolution digital photos emailed after the event 
Photo props and backdrops for fun photo opportunities

Bookings will occur every 45 minutes from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.  There are 16 slots available.

The Just Say Yes wedding fee is $500. The cost of a marriage license at the City of Owen Sound is $150. Couples can purchase their license at any Municipal office in Ontario.

Quick Facts:

The Just Say Yes Event is a one-day-only event held by the City  of Owen Sound in partnership with the Owen Sound River District.  
Owen Sound City Hall is a fully accessible building. 
Marriage Licences are available through Owen Sound City Hall; couples who already have a licence can participate.  
2-hour free on-street parking or 5-hour municipal lot parking available. 
The event is by appointment only.
