City Confirms Certified Candidates and Acclamations for Upcoming Municipal and School Board Election
The City of Owen Sound is notifying the public that the candidates for the upcoming Municipal and School Board Election have been certified, and two (2) candidates have been acclaimed. For a list of certified and acclaimed candidates, visit OwenSoundVotes.ca.
Residents are reminded that the Municipal and School Board Election will take place on Monday, October 26, 2026. The voting period begins on Friday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. and ends on Monday, October 26 at 8:00 p.m. Voting is available 24 hours a day during this period by smartphone, tablet, computer, or telephone.
Election Centres will be open during the voting period, where residents can ask questions, register to vote, get voting assistance, and vote independently. Election Centres will be located at City Hall, 808 2nd Avenue East and at Heritage Place Mall, 1350 16th Street East. For more information on Election Centres, please visit OwenSoundVotes.ca
