Tom Thomson Art Gallery’s ‘Gallery Night at the Movies’ Returns for 28th Season

The Tom Thomson Art Gallery is excited to announce the return of Gallery Night at the Movies for its 28th Season.

In conjunction with the Toronto International Film Festival, the TOM’s Gallery Night at the Movies is one of the TOM’s most successful and long-running programs. With a season running from September to April, the perennial film series brings the best of Canadian, foreign, and independent cinema to the area. All films are screened at the local Cineplex Theatre, Galaxy Cinemas in Owen Sound, offering a true cinematic experience with all the amenities.

The season consists of nine films. Fall film dates are September 22, October 20, November 10 and December 8; five winter dates will be announced later this fall. There are three screening times for each film date: 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7 p.m.

Passes for the 2025-2026 season are on sale now at the TOM and online at tomthomson.org. Passes are $150 each or $135 for Supporters Circle Members and include a $50 donation receipt. Individual screening tickets will go on sale as available two to three weeks prior to the film date.

As an Official Film Circuit Centre, Gallery Night at the Movies provides local filmgoers with an opportunity to see films that may not otherwise be available in the region, and supports the Canadian film industry, by providing filmmakers and distributors the opportunities to extend the reach and theatrical runs of their releases into the smaller communities across the country. The film series is an important fundraising and outreach program that supports the TOM’s events and programming.
