The Hottest Street Sale returns this weekend in the River District

The Hottest Street Sale returns to the Owen Sound River District on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

 

This year’s event marks the 35th edition of the Hottest Street Sale. The event will take place along 2nd Avenue East between 7th Street East and 11th Street East in the Owen Sound River District.   

 

2nd Avenue East between 7th and 11th Streets East will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 5 a.m. on July 12, as well as the intersection at 2nd Avenue East and 9th Street East. All municipal parking lots will remain accessible and open during the event. Street parking will also be available on streets where normally permitted, outside the event boundaries.

 

The event will run between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. and include over 200 places to shop, eat, and enjoy music. This family-friendly event will feature the famous Summerfolk Stage, sponsored by Mix 106.5, at the 9th Street intersection, with live music from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Owen Sound & District Chamber of Commerce will also host a community stage on the front steps of City Hall starting at 10:30 a.m. with live demonstrations and performances from local groups.
