Registration Begins Feb. 17 for City-Run Youth Summer Camps

Online registration for 2026 City-run youth summer camps will open Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 9 a.m. Families can choose from a wide range of affordable, inclusive recreation programs, including new and returning sports camps and the expanded return of Camp TOM: Summer Art Adventures at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery.

These sports and arts camps and programs focus on skill development, creativity, and fun, while making full use of Owen Sound’s recreational facilities, cultural spaces, and outdoor environments. They are designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and accessible, at an affordable cost for families.

Registration includes a variety of youth sports and skill-based programs. Full details are available at OwenSound.ca/YouthPrograms, including:

  • Soccer Camp

  • Lacrosse Camp

The Tom Thomson Art Gallery (TOM) is excited to announce the expanded return of Camp TOM: Summer Art Adventures for 2026, with full-week camps running in July and August. In response to strong community interest, Camp TOM will also offer new single-day PD Day art camps in June.  Full Camp TOM details are available at OwenSound.ca/YouthPrograms.

Camp TOM provides hands-on arts experience inspired by the natural beauty of Harrison Park and Tom Thomson’s legacy. Led by the TOM’s Education and Engagement team, campers will discover a range of creative techniques and materials, from watercolour painting and clay sculpting to printmaking and collage. Programming includes creative work in the Art Gallery studio, outdoor sketching, exploration of Tom Thomson’s paintings, and hikes that encourage discovery, creativity, and connection to the landscape. Each week concludes with an art show in the TOM studio, giving campers the opportunity to proudly share their work with family.

All summer camp registration will take place online beginning Tuesday, February 17, at 9 a.m. Please note that the cancellation policy for City of Owen Sound Summer Camps has been updated. Last-minute cancellations are no longer eligible for a full refund. Families are encouraged to visit OwenSound.ca/YouthPrograms to explore all available camps, review important details, and learn more about registration requirements and policies before signing up.
