Pride Parade and Block Party Road Closures on Saturday, June 21

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, the River District will welcome the 2025 Pride Parade and Block Party. Motorists through the River District may experience delays to allow the safe passage of the parade. Businesses will remain accessible during the closures. Parking is available in nearby municipal lots and on-street where permitted.  

Beginning at 12 noon, the following roads will be closed until approximately 3:00 pm for the Pride Parade: 

  • 2nd Ave East from 7th Street East to 11th Street East 

  • 1st Avenue East from 8th Street East to 9th Street East 

  • 8th Street East from 1st Avenue East to 2nd Avenue East 

  • Municipal Lot 8 (700 block) 

10th Street East will remain open except for a brief closure for the parade procession to move through, between approximately 2-3pm. 

Beginning at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 21, 2025, to 12:00 am midnight on Sunday, June 22, 2025: 

  • 9th Street East from 2nd Avenue East to 3rd Avenue East  

All road users are reminded to remain alert and use caution when travelling through the area to ensure the continued safety of all roadway users. 

The City of Owen Sound is dedicated to providing information to ensure that the residents of affected areas are well informed about interruptions.

  • Pride Parade and Block Party will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025. 

  • Block party road closures will begin at 11:30 am Saturday, June 21, 2025 through 12:00 am midnight on Sunday, June 22, 2025. 

  • Parade route road closures will begin at 12:00 noon through approximately 3:00 pm.  

  • Businesses will remain accessible throughout the closures.  

  • Parking will not be available in Municipal Lot 8 (700 block) due to the Block Party.
