Outdoor Movie Night in the River District This Weekend Featuring Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

Grab your blankets, popcorn, and your favourite people — it’s movie night under the stars in downtown Owen Sound! The City of Owen Sound invites residents and visitors to join us for a free Outdoor Movie Night on Saturday, October 25, in front of Owen Sound City Hall (808 2nd Avenue East) in the River District.

The site opens at 6:30 p.m., with the movie beginning at dusk. Guests are encouraged to bring warm clothes, lawn chairs, and friends for an evening under the stars featuring the blockbuster film Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire brings the beloved Ghostbusters back for a fun, action-packed adventure the whole family will enjoy! When a mysterious artifact releases a powerful force that threatens to freeze New York City, old and new heroes must team up to save the day. Filled with humour, excitement, and plenty of ghost-busting fun, this latest chapter in the Ghostbusters series is a great movie night choice for all ages.

This no-charge, family-friendly event includes pizza donated by Pizza Pizza for the kids before the show.

Proudly sponsored by Presenting Sponsor Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd and Supporting Sponsors: Pizza Pizza, Shannon Deckers RE/MAX, Owen Sound Grey Bruce YMCA, Shine On, The Rocking Horse, Coca-Cola Canada Bottling Limited, and Country 93.

Don’t forget to head to the River District early for a spook-tacular Saturday with the Trick or Treat Trail happening from 10 AM – 1 PM. An early trick-or-treat experience for little ghouls and goblins!
