Harrison Park Pool Opens for the Season on Friday!

Carrying on an almost 100-year tradition, the outdoor swimming pool at Harrison Park opens for the summer season this Friday, June 27, at 1 p.m.!  It will be open until August 31, 2025. The full pool schedule is available at OwenSound.ca/PublicSwimming.

Free summer swims are offered on Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., thanks to the generosity of the Major Sponsor, Miller Waste Systems. Thanks to the generosity of other community sponsors, additional free summer swims are offered on Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Nestled under the trees near Weavers’ Creek in Harrison Park, Owen Sound’s only outdoor heated public pool is fully staffed with professional lifeguards. Harrison Park Pool is fully accessible, including a fully accessible change room and ramp access into the pool.

The pool is owned by the City of Owen Sound and operated under an agreement with the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce. Swimming lessons, season passes, and private rentals at the Harrison Park Pool are available through the YMCA’s website or by emailing aquatics@osgb.ymca.ca.
