Fire at Restaurant Under Investigation

Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services responded to the report of a fire alarm system activated at 1350 16th Street East shortly after 4:00 a.m. (Kelsey’s Original Roadhouse).

Fifteen Owen Sound Fire Department staff responded to the third alarm incident. The fire was contained to a service area of the restaurant, and damage to the building was minimized. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.  The Electrical Safety Authority and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office are assisting the Owen Sound Fire Department with the ongoing investigation. 

Kelsey’s Roadhouse restaurant is currently closed until the investigation can be completed.

The damage from the fire is estimated at $50,000.
