City of Owen Sound to Honour Former Public Works Employee, Paul Duncan

The City of Owen Sound will lower flags at City Hall to half-mast on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in honour and remembrance of Paul Duncan, a dedicated former member of the City’s Public Works Department.

Paul’s retirement marked the close of more than three decades with the City, a career defined by hard work, loyalty, and genuine connections with those he worked alongside.   His legacy of public service continued through his son, Mike Duncan, who also worked for the City for many years.

Known for his warm presence, big heart, and deep love for family, sports, and the outdoors, Paul made a lasting impact both in the workplace and in the community.

His Celebration of Life will take place at the Owen Sound Royal Canadian Legion on Saturday, August 16, from 1 to 3 p.m., with eulogies and shared stories beginning at 2 p.m.

The City extends its heartfelt condolences to Paul’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
