The Becketts

OLD TIME FIDDLING | STEP DANCING | COUNTRY MUSIC
The Beckett’s are a family band from Grey Bruce County with deep roots in traditional country and Old Time fiddle music. The band consists of fiddling siblings Tyler and Linsey, their father, John, and special guest appearances from their grandfather, Stan.
This musical family has been entertaining audiences across the province for many years and strives to get your toes tappin' with their arrangements of traditional country, bluegrass, western swing and Canadian Old-Time fiddling, combined with exhilarating Ottawa Valley step-dancing. Filling out The Beckett’s traditional sound is an all-star band, equipped with telecaster and acoustic guitar, drums, piano and swingin’ steel guitar.
Playing music in a family environment has allowed Tyler and Linsey to value the tradition of Old Time fiddle music, as well as nurture their own musical styles. In recent years, Tyler and Linsey have performed on numerous stages across North America, Europe and Asia, delighting audiences with their energetic fiddle styles. Individually,
Tyler and Linsey have numerous nominations for the ‘Fiddle Player of the Year Award' at the Canadian Country Music Awards, and are currently playing twin fiddles with CCMA Entertainer of the Year, Jade Eagleson.
Tyler has established himself as a valued multi-instrumentalist in the country and bluegrass music scene. He performs with many Canadian Country music artists, including Dan Davidson and Jade Eagleson, and was inducted into the Central Bluegrass Hall of Fame after winning the ‘Fiddle Player of the Year Award’ five times.
With the show Bowfire, Linsey enjoyed tours across North America in addition to a few rare opportunities, including a performance at Sean Connery’s 80th Birthday celebration in the Bahamas. She was the fiddle player in the Toronto production, The Last Ship, where she performed alongside Grammy Award Winner, Sting, and performed 400+ shows with Come From Away between March 2019-2020.

Sherri Jackson Band

Sherri Jackson's sound comes from an old soul, rich in vibrato, emotion and power. A tapestry weaving together folk, blues, jazz, rock and country that has been compared to Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, Chrissie Hynde and Melissa Etheridge.

Her vocals are deeply resonating, striking a chord within you that only music can touch. She makes the song her own by blending her unique vocal range with a powerful belt that hits you from out of nowhere, making her performances soul-stirring and infectious. Combined with solid rhythm guitar skills, she is equally captivating on stage alone or with fellow musicians

Playing regularly at festivals, events and establishments, throughout Southern Georgian Bay.

The Sherri Jackson Band is always a crowd pleaser. Wherever we are, the dance floor is full, people are singing along and it never fails that someone says "I loved every single song".

We play music that you love, because we love it too. With our own cool takes on classics without losing the authenticity of the song.SJB is Sherri Jackson (Full Circle Band, String Theory, The Eclectix) on vocals and guitar and iconic musician & artist, Chuck Baker (Lucy Jinx, The Diefenbakers, solo/original artist) doubling up on vocals and lead guitar, leading to a gorgeous blend of harmonies backed by rockin' instrumentals. Pulling everything together with solid rhythm and groove are master bass man, Ron Pretli (Coming of Age), our outstanding drummer John Hall (Jason Redman Band, By Divine Right) and amazing percussionist Skip Wamsteeker (Fred Eaglesmith, John Prine).

Rob Elder

Owen Sound’s Rob Elder caught the music bug as a kid on the family farm where classic country & western songs, the Beach Boys, and Bob Seeger were the sound track to barn chores. Back then, picking up a guitar was an easy way to wind down at the end of a long day. Turned to music, his farm boy’s work ethic led to quick growth and an early creative blossoming, his festival debut at the age of 20, and the release of two self produced albums shortly afterwards.

Eventually, Rob moved to Toronto where he gigged every weekend and hosted an open mic for two and a half years. All that playing and networking exposed him to a world of musicians and sounds well beyond his parents record collection. Those influences fused into a style that playfully mixes blue-eyed soul, slick guitar, and crooning country rhythms and serves them with a voice that surfs from solid depths to groovy falsetto highs.

By his mid-twenties, Rob was chasing the Canadian dream. He got married, had two kids, and was advancing in a straight-laced career while gigging tirelessly in Toronto. There wasn’t much time for recording back then and  Rob and his wife knew that they didn’t want to raise children in the city.  So in 2012 they moved back to Grey County where a vibrant musical community welcomed them wholeheartedly. Rob put together a band, started mentoring younger musicians through the Georgian Bay Folk Society, and – as  always – filled every available moment with music. Now with the release of 'Changer' 12 years after his sophomore record, Rob self-identifies as a re-emerging artist. But make no mistake, his musical growth has never faltered and his roots have only dug deeper in the intervening years.

2018’s 'Changer' shows off how much Rob has grown and what he’s learned along the way. Where his first two albums ploughed popular themes of young love and heartbreak, Changer explores more mature themes of social unrest and inequality, solidarity, and the deep love that carries a relationship decades on.  Don’t think that serious themes make the music less fun, though. With thoughtful lyrics and catchy melodies, Changer proves that Rob Elder still knows how to get audiences dancing – whether or not there’s a dance floor.

Adam Cousins

Born and raised in the tight-knit town of Brussels, Ontario, Adam Cousins knows a thing or two about small town living and country music dreaming.

Years of love for music and performing drove Adam to pursue his passion in the music industry. Today, he’s an exciting new Canadian country talent, whose emergence in the industry reflects his earnest “work hard, play hard” approach to life and music.

Cousins continues to win his audience over, time after time, with a seamless mix of classic and original tunes, which showcase his ability to turn simple small-town moments into memories that feel larger than life.

Drawn to the timeless storytelling and classic sound of the country genre, Adam took his first steps in music with a debut EP in 2019, “Dirt Road”, which brought his original music to digital streaming platforms for the first time and introduced him to Canadian country radio. After taking some time to refine his sound and build his music community, Cousins released singles “Riding the Waves” and “Young Again” in 2021, while connecting with noted producer Shawn Moore.

The 2022 London Ontario’s Forest City Music Awards recognized Adam as “Country Artist of the Year” and his single “Young Again” as the recipient of “Music Video of the Year”. But Adam has not stopped there – with two singles released in 2022 “Our Lives” (which quickly became a popular radio spin, reached top 30 with CBC Sirius XM, and was nominated for “Music Video of the Year” at the 2023 London FCMA), and “Let It Rip” (a summer anthem country fans shouldn’t live without). In 2023 Cousins released “In The End” (the heartbreak banger we all didn’t know we needed), and most recently starting the 2024 year off with “That Kinda Girl” (a tune that brings light to all those not-so-little “little things”).

Between playing live shows around the province – giving fans a front-row seat at festivals, fairs, and jams – Cousins has been spending time in studio with his production team, and has multiple new releases on the horizon! 2024 will without a doubt be an exciting year for this small-town country boy, and Adam cannot wait to share these moments and memories with his fans!
