Stay Healthy and Keep Active in Owen Sound!

We have a fantastic community for all of us to enjoy. Beautiful parks, breathtaking scenery and dedicated groups providing opportunities for all ages to be active. Register in one of our fine City programs or sign up with one of our recreation partners. If that is not for you, splash in the Harrison Park Pool, bike the Tom Thomson trail or skate in the Getaway Skateboard Park. Look for the City’s BMX Park north of the Bayshore developed in partnership with Jolley’s Alternative Wheels, or Owen Sound’s first artificial outdoor ice surface at Harrison Park courtesy of the Scenic City Order of Good Cheer. This summer cool off in the City's new Good Cheer Splash Pad, located at Kelso Beach Park. Leash up your pet and meet some friends at the Mayor & Friends Leash Free Dog Park along the Innter Harbour, 1st Ave East.
