Parks, Trails and Facilities

City of Owen Sound Council has approved a new Naming and Re-Naming Policy for City Parks and Facilities. The policy provides clear and consistent criteria as well as a process including consultation and consideration for naming or re-naming a City park or facility.

A key objective of the City’s strategic plan is supporting inclusivity, diversity and accountability in the community and this is reflected in the policy.

Policy CS087 - Naming and Re-Naming Policy for City Park and Facilities can be found under Policies on our By-laws and Policies webpage. For questions surrounding the Policy, please contact the Community Services Administrative Assistant by calling 519-376-4440 ext. 1256 or by email.
