Important Notes
The sharps kit is included but should only be used by an adult who has read and understands the instructions included and takes on any risks. Sharps are to be returned to City Hall staff in the supplied container that has been closed and returned to the bio-hazard bin. Sharps will then be disposed of in partnership with Public Health.
Items that are inaccessible or large and heavy can be marked on the slips included in the back of the information booklet. The City of Owen Sound's Public Works Department will be made aware of these items for removal.
Carts are free to borrow, but each group will be responsible for supplying credit card numbers to cover a $50 damage fee in the final booking step. This fee will not be charged to the card unless items are returned damaged. Damages will be determined upon the cart's return and only include the misuse of the cart and its contents.
Carts can be picked up and returned to City Hall Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The carts fit into a standard SUV or larger vehicle for transport.
Garbage disposal will be finalized in the final step of booking. Options include returning garbage to City Hall at a mutually agreed-upon time during business hours or an arrangement for bag tags supplied by City Hall for disposal through household garbage collection. Household garbage collection must be through the City of Owen Sound.
We understand there may be a need for last-minute bookings and will do our best to accommodate everyone. However, we encourage everyone to submit their requests at least two weeks in advance.
