Outdoor Movie Nights Return to the River District

Outdoor Movie Nights are taking over the Owen Sound Farmers' Market in Owen Sound's River District. The FREE movie nights feature family-friendly movies and theme nights encouraging interactive activities and themes before the movies start each night.

Taking place on August 4, 11, and 18, each movie night will be accompanied by a unique theme.

The August 4 movie is Sing 2 with FREE treats from Sugar Dust and a dance party led by Tyler Boyle. Kids 12 and under are urged to wear their favourite dance outfit to be selected to win the best seats in the house, including treats and drinks.

The August 11 movie is Spider-Man – No Way Home featuring an opportunity for kids to challenge themselves with games such as connect four, bean bag toss and hula hooping. Kids 12 and under will enjoy a FREE scoop of Ice Cream from Sundays' Ice Cream Parlour. Dress up like your favourite superhero to be selected to win the best seats in the house, including treats and drinks.

The August 18 movie is Tangled. Kids 12 and under will take part in a Scavenger Hunt led by the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Library to locate items in proximity to the Farmers' Market. Kids 12 and under will receive chips and water donated by the Wholesale Club. Dress like your favourite fairy-tale character to win the best seats in the house, including treats and drinks.

Attendees are to bring their own lawn chair as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The site opens at 7:30 p.m., with movies starting at dusk.
