Leaf and Yard Waste Composting Site to Close for the Season

Beginning at 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2023, the Owen Sound Leaf and Yard Waste Composting Site, located at 2800 28th Avenue East, will be closed for the season. The site will remain closed until about April 3 or until further notice, when spring weather permits easy access.

The seasonal closure allows staff to focus on winter maintenance in other areas of the City. 

The Compost Site is currently open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A list of accepted items is available at OwenSound.ca/Waste.  Dumping of any materials at the closed gate is monitored and prohibited.
