Motorists travelling through the River District and Owen Sound’s Downtown may experience delays due to road closures this Saturday, June 18, 2022. 

Billy Bishop HeritageFest

11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

3^rd Avenue West will be closed from 9^th Street West to 10^th Street West for the Billy Bishop HeritageFest.

3rd Annual Pride Parade

12:00 noon – 3:30 p.m.

2^nd Avenue East will be closed from 8^th Street East to 10^th Street East.

1^st Avenue West will be closed from 8^th Street West to 10^th Street West.

8^th Street and 9^th Street will remain open but expect delays as Police Services will be directing traffic and the parade to allow safe passage through the intersections. 

12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

7^th Street/1^st Ave East will be closed from west of 2^nd Avenue East to 8^th Street East.

The Eastbound curb lane on 10^th Street from 1^st Avenue West to 2^nd Avenue East will be closed.

Parking

Motorists visiting the River District or participating in the Pride parade are encouraged to park in Parking Lot #5 located in the 800 Block of 3^rd Avenue East, and Parking Lot #4 located in the 900 Block of 3^rd Avenue East. 

Transit

The Brooke Transit route will be re-routed at 1^st Avenue West from 8^th Street to 10^th Street West from 11:30 a.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m. Bus stops along 8^th Street between 2^nd Avenue West and 2^nd Avenue East will not be available from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
