Applications Now Being Accepted for the Strategic Planning Ad Hoc Committee
Are you interested in helping to develop the long-term vision, mission, guiding principles, and strategic priorities and objectives for the City of Owen Sound? If so, consider applying to serve as a member of Owen Sound’s newly established Strategic Planning Ad Hoc Committee.
The Strategic Planning Ad Hoc Committee will assist in the development of a Strategic Plan which will outline what the community envisions for its future up to 2050. Committee members will help advise and steer the strategic planning process and plan, serve as an ambassador throughout the strategic planning process ensuring two-way communication with the community, provide feedback on draft iterations of the strategic plan, and provide comments on a final draft plan for presentation and consideration by City Council.
City Council invites persons wishing to serve as a member of the Strategic Planning Ad Hoc Committee to submit an application to the Deputy Clerk. Application forms are due Friday, October 6 and are available on the City’s website at www.owensound.ca/committeevacancies or at the Service Owen Sound counter in City Hall.
There are seven vacancies on the Strategic Planning Ad Hoc Committee with a term to begin November 7 and expiring when the Strategic Plan 2050 is approved by Council.
