A board comprised of members of the public and Councillors who are members of the Union Public Library Board who provide advice on meeting the informational needs of the residents of the City of Owen Sound, Townships of Chatsworth and Georgian Bluffs and the Municipality of Meaford through the collection and provision of both print and non-print materials, the provision of an information service, by means of public programming and other special services, including adult literacy and extension services.
