City Purchases CP Rail Station Seeking Interested Developers
The City of Owen Sound has purchased the Federally designated heritage CP Rail Station on the east side of the harbour. The City's goal is to revitalize the harbour area and transform the vacant building into an attraction. The City will be seeking interest from businesses for the re-development of the CP Rail Station that protects and enhances the building's heritage assets.

Fryer Oil Now Accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Depot
Beginning on May 1, 2010 the City will accept up to 5 gallons of fryer oil on each Household Hazardous Day from residents of the City and participating municipalities. This program is open to residents only and is not open to restaurants or commercial enterprises.

Grey-Bruce's Regional Home Show, the Home & Cottage Expo, takes over the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to all areas is $4. Admission for children 12 and under is free when accompanied by an adult.
