Owen Sound is fortunate to have the Owen Sound and Area Family Y in the
city!
A community organization, it focuses on bringing quality of life to local
residents. It has a Recreation Centre, Child Care Facilities and Community
& Employment Services.
Recreation Centre
The Family Y offers a full range of health, fitness and recreational
programs for Preschoolers, Youth, Teens, Adults and Seniors.
The facility:
- fully equipped conditioning centre
- free-weight room
- full-size gymnasium
- 25-yard swimming pool
- several change rooms, with adult access to whirlpools and saunas
- 20-foot climbing wall
Child Care
The Owen Sound & Area Family Y is dedicated and committed to children.
Child Care programs provide parents with a variety of options for children
from infancy to 12 years.

Employment
Job Connect is a free service assisting unemployed youth and adults in
gaining the skills and knowledge they need to find and keep employment.

Student Services
Summer jobs are available through the Government of Ontario's Summer
Jobs Service. In addition, employers may post job opportunities for students
to access year-round in our Resource Centre. Career-related workshops
and resources are presented to classes from local elementary and secondary
schools.

Housing
The Housing Support Program helps people 16 years of age or older who
are having difficulty finding temporary or permanent housing throughout
Grey and Bruce Counties.
